Moderator Guidelines 📜
The following guidelines are intended to help moderators effectively manage and foster a positive environment within our community. Please adhere to these principles to ensure a smooth and respectful interaction among all members.
Content Creation Guidelines
- Encourage Third-Person Writing: Encourage contributors to write or edit pages in the third person for a more professional and unbiased presentation.
- Highlight Connection to CopperCab: Ensure that pages lead with information relating to the subject's involvement or interaction with CopperCab, as the wiki is centered around this figure.
- Promote Consistent Formatting: Guide contributors to use a consistent format, especially in how they introduce their connection to CopperCab, to maintain a uniform look across the wiki.
- Monitor Content Quality: Regularly review new and edited pages to ensure they meet the community standards of quality and relevance.
- Support New Contributors: Provide support and guidance to new members who are learning to contribute, especially in adhering to the wiki's thematic focus and stylistic rules.
General Conduct
- Be Impartial: Always approach disputes and issues impartially, without bias towards any member or group.
- Stay Informed: Regularly update yourself on community rules, guidelines, and any changes to ensure consistent moderation.
Mod Jobs
- Curation: Before approving edits use your common sense to help determine whether or not those edits are being made in good faith, as oppose to griefing (trolling) of the Copperverse wiki.
- Daily Activity: Try to show up once a day to go over the aforementioned edits, and help the Copperverse and all it's lore grow.
Engagement and Interaction
- Communicate Clearly: When addressing the community or individual members, communicate clearly and professionally.
- Encourage Participation: Actively encourage members to participate and contribute in a positive manner.
Conflict Resolution
- Manage Disputes Calmly: Handle disputes calmly and patiently, seeking to de-escalate tensions and find a resolution acceptable to all involved parties.
- Enforce Rules Fairly: Apply community rules and sanctions consistently and fairly, ensuring that all members are treated equally.
